...SO THAT YOU MAY APPROVE THE THINGS THAT ARE EXCELLENT, IN ORDER TO BE SINCERE AND BLAMELESS UNTIL THE DAY OF CHRIST...PHILIPPIANS 1:10
Dear Brothers and Sister, if another believer is overcome by sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back unto the right path. (NIV Galatians 6:1)
This is our daily duty serving the Lord at Casa Esperanza. God sent us, His children (e.g. church grps, pastors, missionaries, and believers) to serve these single moms and children that arrive and overcome by some sin.
As His servants we are called to, “share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.” (NIV, Galatians 6:2-3)
JANELLE & ALLEN FROM BASELINE
Wow, reading this passage really minister to me. Sometimes when times get tough with some of the mommies or children, my mind wonders to what I could be doing for myself instead of getting verbally put down by a rebellious mom or child.
Glory to God, for self-control that only the Holy Spirit can give when those self centered thoughts creep up thank God they only last a second. Thank you, God for Galatians 6:3, ‘if you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.
But then Paul states in chapter 6 in verse 4 and 5, ‘pay careful attention to your own work for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.
I, Praise God!! For the words He gave Paul to write in this letter. This letter can be observe or analysis as a checklist for us as servant to make sure our heart is ‘One Accord’ with God. As His daughter I have tired to seek to grow spiritually and be transparent of whom I am in Christ. I am not perfect but I trust in the, Mighty One to guide me and correct me daily.
A word of encouragement to my brothers and sisters in Christ with a servant’s heart.
‘Those who live to please the spirit will harvest everlasting life from the spirit. So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity. We should do good to everyone –especially to those in the family of faith. (NIV, Galatians 6:8-10)
This summer was one of the best, I’ve had. I want to thank Calvary Chapel Sonora for never closing the door on Casa Esperanza. CC Sonora took a step of faith and due to their hearts to wait on the Lord, the ministry is reaping a harvest of blessings that only God can give.
I also want to give a special thanks to my big brother in Christ, Lane Wettengel for letting the Holy Spirit guide him to guide me to Casa Esperanza. The Lord showed you something, that God could use this short girl, who just took a step of faith and wanted to serve God.
Lane, may God bless you and your family. Thank you for doing something ‘good’ for Christ and seeing something that many did not believe. God has built up this beautiful family at Casa Esperanza. This is a testimony of God’s supernatural power. Just like when Peter believe and took a couple of steps above water to get to Jesus. It is how we should continue to take those steps that drawer close to Jesus.
I also want to thank a group that came after CC Sonora. It was our biggest group of the summer or may I say, of the entire year. Praise God!! FOR BASELINE COMMUNITY CHURCH (http://www.baselinecc.com/content.cfm?id=331). This group was so touched and overwhelmed by the peace and transformation that God has done in Casa Esperanza. On their last day, we all wept and laughed. It was hard to say, good-bye. It was like God had extended our family in that instant. This group went home filled with the Holy Spirit and wanting to continue to help the CASA. About 2 to 3 weeks later, they invited Walt and me to speak at their Church. When we drove out to Claremont, we were so loved on. We were overwhelmed by the welcome. Baseline has come alongside the CASA and to help us throughout the year. I witnessed God’s supernatural power once again when I saw all the work that Baseline did to gather support for the CASA. Walt and I witnessed on that very day how God had answered our prayers. God has been meeting our smallest to our biggest need.
The summer came to an end with taking the Kids camping with Calvary Chapel Moreno Valley and Casa Esperanza collabrated with Calvary Chapel Chapultepec to host VBS. I thank God for He brought 12 kids (10 to 12 years old) to my class. Our group was called Messenagers of God.
Thank you to all of those that have been praying for Casa Esperanza and supporting.
For nothing is impossible in Christ
